EMC My Documentum Product Suite

The EMC Documentum suite of products consist of a unified, comprehensive and scalable platform which allows departments across the organisation to collaborate, share, process, secure and reuse content both internally or externally. The suite includes several products: EMC My Documentum for Desktop, EMC My Documentum for Microsoft Outlook, EMC My Documentum for Offline Client, and EMC My Documentum for Microsoft SharePoint. These products provide seamless access to content via popular desktop applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft SharePoint and Windows Explorer, whether knowledge workers are online or offline.

EMC Records Management

EMC Documentum Records Manager (RM) provides formal records management capabilities, security, records classification, and file plan features. RM is a modular component that works with EMC Documentum Retention Policy Services and EMC Documentum Physical Records Services or EMC Documentum Federated Records Services. RM is required for certifications such as MoReq or DoD 5015.2 v3. RM can be added to any supported EMC Documentum environment. For DoD certification, it has pairings with EMC Centera and EMC SourceOne.

EMC Documentum Retention Policy Services (RPS) automates content retention and disposition and allows for holds and content immutability for typical or informal records management. RPS enables compliance with regulations and organisational best practices and can manage large volumes of records without modifying end-user behaviour. Retention Policy Services can be added to any supported EMC Documentum environment and is the base product of the modular EMC Documentum records management family.

EMC Content Storage Services


EMC Documentum Content Storage Services enables users to define and execute content storage policies. A key enabler of information lifecycle management (ILM), Content Storage Services delivers policy-based allocation, movement, and archival of your content based on all of the rich information and services provided by the Documentum enterprise content management platform. Use Content Storage Services to allocate content across storage tiers based on its changing value and access requirements.

EMC Documentum WebTop

EMC Documentum Webtop is an easy-to-use interface that provides access to the EMC Documentum repository and content management services within a standard browser application. Documentum Webtop is ideal for users who prefer the point-and-click navigational ease of a hierarchal folder-based user interface, particularly when content is accessed from remote locations across the web. It provides easy access to core EMC Documentum content services including security, version control, content lifecycles, workflows, categorisation, and search.

The solution provides a single, integrated platform for creating and deploying dynamic, case- and process-based business applications that are information and people intensive. EMC Documentum CentreStage

CenterStage is free for EMC Documentum Content Server license holders and provides basic content services such as check in/ check out, team workspaces, versioning and lifecycles.
