We view our contribution to Corporate Social responsibility as an opportunity to contribute to the growth of South Africa in a meaningful way.

We support the endeavours of the Government to move away from an overall approach to a developmental approach, that will ensure sustainable community development initiatives.

Masibambisane is one such organisation that provide support to the community through a range of initiatives.

We have partnered with them in the Sewing project.

Masibambisane is a non-profit Organization established to help the wider KwaMhlanga community deal with the problem of ORPHANS, HIV/AIDS and POVERTY through the local community leaders.

In September 2006 the Belay board of directors decided to reach out to the disadvantage communities and to contribute to the social well being of our less privileged citizens. It was decided to throw our weight in behind that of the Masibambisane Community Development Corporation (MCDC) who provides day care to aids orphans in KwaMhlanga north of Pretoria. This organization currently provides day care for more than a thousand AIDS orphans and has five day care centers from where aid is provided to the orphans.

Recently the MCDC identified the need start a project for each day care centre to establish a business which would generate funds for each centre and which would make them more self sufficient. Belay decided to assist one of the day care centers (Sun City) to get a sewing initiative off the ground which would manufacture school uniforms, track suits or any other profitable textile related requirement. Belay has provided seed capital and is also subsidizing the salaries of the team for the first six months in order for them to get into full production and to get the business to be self sustainable.
